Canyon Hike to the Ruins {Spring 2013}

Once again, like last year, we took a few hours off work to hike down into the canyon, along the river, to the old Jesuit mission ruins. There is much to write about this hike, but the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. Here are some pictures, since, as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words"...

That definitely was an amazing hike. As you can see in some of the pictures, it was a somewhat rigorous at some points, but it was fun. And like I said, the canyon scenery was so lovely! The realization that we were far from civilization and deep in this remote canyon in Mexico made the beauty all the more awe-inspiring!
